It has to be said I LOVE autumn, I think it’s the photographer in me as everything just looks so amazingly colourful! With the turn of Autumn we also see a shift in seasonal vegetables, but much like spring Autumn is a transitional season so some of the summer vegetables are still available for a short while allowing for some really creative cooking options. Autumn is also a great opportunity for some classic cooking; with hedgerows laden with berries, begging to be put in a pie, or the humble carrot practically begging to be roasted with some sage. Dig out out those classic cook books and go to town.. or a farmers market.
